We look forward to seeing you soon ... ============================================================================== Small Hope Bay Lodge Welcomes Single Parent Families during the Summer Months Small Hope Bay Lodge on Andros Island, Bahamas, welcomes single parent families during the summer months. For single parents, Small Hope Bay Lodge waives the regular "two-adult requirement" for children to qualify for discounted children's rates during the period June 14 through September 2, 2008. Single parents may take advantage of Small Hope's extremely attractive rates for their children during this period. All-inclusive rates during the summer months are $209 per adult / per night and $95 per child (2-12) / per night. There is no charge for babies under two years of age, and free crib and cot are services are available. Babysitting is complimentary for children 2 - 9 during the hours of 6:00PM-8:45PM. At that time the children eat dinner and play games or do arts and crafts in the games room with our babysitters. This allows the adults some adult time and the children some time to be kids. ============================================================================== Massage by Sandra at Small Hope Massages are a relaxing and therapeutic experiences for the body as well as the mind. Small Hope Bay Lodge has a new dedicated certified masseuse to service our guests. Sandra Segarte Birch has recently joined our Small Hope family and she will be giving massages in either a personalized massage room, or if you are staying at Small Hope, in your room, or a reasonable and tropical spot on the property. We plan to expand our spa services in the near future! ============================================================================== Due to popular demand, we have just started conducting three guided eco-trips. Give them a try the next time you come and visit. Of course we still have massage available, just book with the office. For a nominal fee we now have three half day guided nature tours -- one is to visit the intriguing North Andros area and the other visits 3 of the different types of blue holes in our area. We hope that you enjoy these new programs as additional topside activities. ============================================================================== Small Hope now has air conditioning in half of its rooms. I know it seems a bit odd for Small Hope, but we think that it will be a great improvement and people have the option of our a/c rooms (small energy surcharge applies) or the traditional style. We will make every attempt to manage this and be as friendly to the environment as we can possibly be. Small Hope is proud to be one of only two hotels in the Bahamas with a formal Environmental Management System in place. ============================================================================== Continental Connection operated by Gulfstream now has direct service from Fort Lauderdale International airport to Andros Town airport 4 times a week. So there are now 2 ways to get to us from Fort Lauderdale (Continental and various charter services). Of course, Western Air still flies at least twice a day from Nassau to Andros Town. For those of you in the New York tri state area, Jet Blue, as well as several other airlines, now have direct flights from JFK and other New York airports to Nassau at a really great price! Then you can just take the 12 minute Western Air flight to Andros Town Airport (ASD). Hope to see you soon ...
